The Ezoic account setup is quite a necessary process, as it will determine how the platform will optimize your website. If you are unfamiliar with Ezoic, check out our tutorial here. If you are still trying to figure out how to register with Ezoic, we have a step-by-step tutorial on how to do that.
The next part of the tutorial assumes you have already learned about Ezoic and registered on their website, as we will review the account setup process. They offer two options - an automated setup tool (recommended for beginners) and a manual one, which we recommend for more advanced users.
Without further ado, let's get started!
To begin the setup, enter your Ezoic dashboard after registering. When you do that, you will be presented with two choices - "Automate it" and "Set Up Myself". The first option will be a manual setup process in which Ezoic will apply the most optimal settings for your site. The second option will allow you to customize the setup based on your preference and get educated on the Ezoic platform as a whole by one of the Ezoic staff.
Let us begin by outlining the differences between manual and automated setups and explaining how to complete each.
Benefits of the automated setup include:
During the sign-up process, Ezoic does not include a part where you set up a password and your name. This setup is handled post-registration and is one of the main things you must do immediately after entering your dashboard.
To do so, please click the "Get Started" button in the "Automate it" content box.
Doing so will take you to a page with three content boxes.
Complete Account Setup
This step is mandatory, and it will take you to a form finalizing your account creation. Please click on the "Get Started" button to proceed. Doing so will present you with a web form requiring you to enter your First name, Last name, and password. After filling in all the fields, please click the "Save" button at the bottom of the form to save your credentials.
Performing this action will trigger a brief loading screen, and you will be sent back to the previous page containing the rest of the setup steps for the automated setup.
You will notice that there will be a "Complete" message inside this content box, signifying that this part of the process is now finished.
Connect Your Site
This content box will be located in the middle of the automated setup page and is another mandatory step for your Ezoic integration. Please click the "Get Started" button in the "Connect Your Site" content box to proceed.
This action will redirect you to a page that will give you step-by-step instructions on performing the integration using the DNS method. It's as straightforward as updating your domain's nameservers at the place where you purchased it.
If you have bought your domain from HostArmada, you can do it from your Client Area -> Domains -> My Domains -> Expand DropDown Menu -> Manage Nameservers.

If your domain is registered with us and you need help performing the change or are not comfortable doing the nameserver switch on your own, feel free to contact our customer support agents via the live chat on our website.
After performing the nameserver change, please give these changes a few hours to propagate (which may sometimes require up to 24 hours) before you click the "Integration Complete" button underneath the nameservers table section.
The above action will trigger another loading screen, after which you will once again be redirected to the previous page, where you will see the "Complete" sign in the "Connect your Site" content box.
Apply for Ad Manager (MCM)
To Finalize the entire setup, you must apply your domain for ad serving and access to premium demand partners. To do so, please click on the "Get Started" button inside the "Apply for Ad Manager (MCM)" content box.
IMPORTANT: Ezoic uses Google MCM (Multiple Customer Management) to distribute ads on your website and provide access to premium demand from Google Ad Exchange and other partners. For this to happen, you must create or have an Ad Manager Account AND have your domain approved by Google. If you do not have an AdSense account, you can use a form on the Ad Manager (MCM) page and send an invite to your email so you can register. Please note that we will not cover the Google AdSense account creation process. After receiving an email, follow the steps to create it and then return to your Ezoic dashboard.
If you have an account and an Ad Manager email, please enter them along with your account's network code and then click on the "Send Invite" button at the bottom of the page.
Regardless of your choice, you will end up at the Ad Manager account status page in your Ezoic dashboard, which will give information about the current status of your domain's approval and Ad Manager account.
This process may take from a few hours to a few days, so you should go and perform the next step while you wait - which is the ads.txt setup.
To proceed with that, please click on the "</>" icon on the right side of the "G" icon on the "Ad Manager & Domain Approval" page in your Ezoic dashboard.
Once you click on the "</>" icon, please press the "ADS.TXT" button inside the "Ads.txt" content box.
Doing so will redirect you to the "ads.txt" page, where you will see an explanation of what this file does. On the right side of the screen, you will see two buttons - "Automatic Setup" and "Manual setup".
As we cover the automatic Ezoic setup, let's also select the automatic setup for the ads.txt. Please click the "Automatic Setup" button above the "Manual setup" button.
Doing the above will open a popup window where you can begin configuring your ads.txt file. To begin, click the "Create" button on the bottom right side of the popup window.
Performing this action will allow Ezoic to generate an ads.txt file for you and show you its output in the popup window. Once you see it, please click the "Next" button on the bottom right side of the screen.
Performing this action will take you to the next step, allowing you to add/edit your ads.txt entries and add a network entry for your Google AdSense account by using the prefill option and entering your correct AdSense Publisher ID.
To do so, please click on the "+ Add a New Network" button on the left side of the "Bulk Upload Entries" button on the bottom right of the popup window.
After doing so, another popup window will appear, which will require the following:
After entering all the required fields, please click the "Save" button on the bottom right side of the page. This action will take you back to the previous popup window, where you will see the Ad Network added in a table section.
To verify if the ads.txt is set up correctly, please click the "Verify" button on the bottom right side of the popup window. Doing so will show you the status in another popup window, and initially, it may not work and say that the traffic still needs to be routed via Ezoic.
If that is the case, please give this up to 24 hours to ensure that all the DNS changes you performed have propagated fully. You can recheck the ads.txt status every few hours until you see a "Valid Ads.txt" message.
After you see the "Valid Ads.txt" message, please click the "Done" button on the bottom right of the popup window.
After doing so, you can return to the initial setup page, which will show you the status of your website integration on the Ezoic network.
Note that the entire process may take up to 3 days, so you should be patient and wait for all verification procedures to conclude.

To begin the manual setup, please click the "Get Started" button in the "Set up Myself" content box.
Doing so will take you to the "courses" page, and you need to watch them all to continue with the setup.
Just watch each video and apply the recommendations of the Director of the Ezoic Access Now program, who will be leading the courses. After performing each course, please click the “Next” button at the bottom right side of the page.
This program aims to help you with the onboarding process and educate you on utilizing the Ezoic platform to its fullest extent.
We will not cover this method further because the idea is for the publisher to follow it at their own pace and get acquainted with the Ezoic service.
